Your responsibilities

  • Promoting safety culture and helping to roll out ISO 26262 processes, including training, mentoring, and tailoring
  • Safety Management according to ISO 26262
  • Developing the Safety Concept, including the relevant safety analysis
  • Working cross-functionally with product teams, software development and hardware development to ensure system, software and hardware compliance to the functional safety standards and requirements
  • Driving and supporting engineering activities according to ISO 26262 standards during all project phases (concept, product development, production)
  • Coordinating and supporting internal/ external ISO 26262 process/product audits and assessments
  • Coordinating and supporting internal/ external product safety topics related to ISO/PAS 21448-SOTIF
  • Acting as an interface to the OEM functional safety manager, to get an agreed hazard analysis and risk assessment, development interface agreement, safety plan and safety case

 

Your profile

  • A university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, Automotive Engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • At least two years of work experience as a safety engineer or safety manager, working with ISO 26262 or a related safety standard
  • Working knowledge of quality system/tools, such as Automotive SPICE, IATF 16949, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA
  • At least three years hands on experience in embedded system development, either as software, hardware, or systems engineer
  • The following is considered an asset:
    • Experience in working for an Automotive OEM or supplier, ideally in ADAS domains
    • Experience with Model Based Engineering, UML or SysML
    • Experience of requirement management using DOORS
    • Project management skills
    • Functional Safety certification
    • Experience in Cyber Security
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German and/or French are strong assets
